Kim Bucklew is a Managing Director for Alliance Residential Company, working in the Atlanta, GA office. She is responsible for multifamily development covering Georgia and South Carolina. Her responsibilities include review, negotiation, coordination and process of all real property transactions from site sourcing and acquisition through due diligence, concept planning, design, entitlements, permitting, construction build-out and lease-up.
Prior to joining Alliance Residential Company in 2013, Kim worked for Post Properties managing projects throughout the East Coast from the District of Columbia to Florida. She helped complete over 1,200 multifamily units with a total capitalization in excess of $250 million. Before joining Post Properties in 2011, Kim worked in real estate development in Durham, NC as a Development Associate for Wood Partners. While at Wood, Kim’s responsibilities included acquisitions and due diligence of new development sites as well as development management for multifamily residential projects that included market-rate apartments, student housing and senior living communities.

Kim grew up in North Carolina and earned her Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and her Masters of Business Administration with an emphasis in Real Estate from the University of North Carolina’s Kenan-Flagler Business School. During her MBA, Kim was selected as a Fund Manager for the UNC KFBS Real Estate Fund, a $2.1 million dollar for-profit fund that is solely managed and invested by the students. Kim is an active member of the Urban Land Institute, Metro Atlanta Chamber and the Atlanta Multifamily Network in Atlanta, Georgia. Kim was selected and participated in the Class of 2013 ULI Center for Leadership program, is a ULI Urban Plan Volunteer and has participated in the ULI Young Leader Mentorship Program. Kim is also a Member of the Urban Development Mixed Use Council – Silver Flight.
