Mr. Kirton serves as a Director of the corporation and owns 50% of the company’s outstanding stock. Born in Tulsa, OK in 1961, he grew up in Houston, TX. He earned a B.A. in Economics from WashingtonUniversity in St. Louis in 1985. He is also CEO and a 50% shareholder of Funding Incorporated, an FHA and Fannie Mae-approved multifamily lender which originates funds and services multifamily mortgages nationwide. From 1995 to 1997, he served as Manager of Commercial Lending for Main Street Mortgage, a subsidiary of Goldman, Sachs & Co. in St. Petersburg, FL. Prior to joining Main Street, he served as President of Funding Incorporated for seven years and operated its San Antonio, TX office. He is former Executive V.P. of Citadel Mortgage Co. (San Antonio, TX), one of the nation’s first FHA-approved multifamily co-insurers and Fannie Mae DUS lenders. As a result of this experience Mr. Kirton has an extensive knowledge of multifamily lending, financial operations, development and management. He maintains a close working relationship with Wall Street’s top investment banking houses to which Funding Incorporated sells participation in, and securities backed by, many of the mortgages that it originates. He resides in Houston, Texas with his wife and three children.
