Chris G. Apostolopoulos is Division President and Regional General Manager of Northern California. Christopher Beda, Senior Managing Partner & CIO, Carmel Partners

Christopher Beda is the Senior Managing Partner, Chief Investment Officer for Carmel Partners, a national, full-service real estate company that specializes in the acquisition, development, renovation, and management of multifamily assets. Beda is responsible for managing Carmel Partners’ investment activity across the country, and he sits on the Investment Committee for Carmel Partners Investment Funds. Randall Berger

Randall Berger, Principal, Berger Enterprises

Mr. Berger began his career as a real estate investment broker in 1978 with a national firm, in their San Francisco office, specializing in the analysis, marketing and sale of apartment properties. In 1980, he was chosen by then Mayor Lionel Wilson of Oakland to be one of the seven initial members of the Oakland Residential Rent Arbitration Board. In the early 1980s, he became involved in the rehabilitation and development of real property, property management, and consulting, and has acted as general partner in several real estate investments. J. Scott Croul

J. Scott Croul, Managing Director – Production & Sales, Freddie Mac

J. Scott Croul joined Freddie Mac in June of 2010, initially as Senior Director of Multifamily Underwriting and Credit, Western Region, and was responsible for overseeing the underwriting and credit of all loans, managing the regional underwriting staff and working closely with the production team to provide our Seller/Servicers with sound loan structures to facilitate loan origination. Mr. Croul was promoted to Managing Director of Production and Sales in October 2013 and is responsible for all loan production and sales in the western region.

Jake Harrington

Jake Harrington, Board President-Elect, Housing Industry Foundation

Jake Harrington is the co-founder and Chief Executive Officer for On-Site.com. He has provided marketing, strategic and operational direction since co-founding the company, which has grown to be the apartment industry’s leading online leasing platform. Jake’s work with the Housing Industry Foundation stretches back more than five years, during which time the charity’s growth has nearly doubled. Jon Holmquist is a vice president investments in the San Francisco office of Marcus & Millichap. He is a director of the company’s National Multi Housing Group. Kyle Naye is a Senior Associate within the acquisitions group at Clarion Partners, a New York-based commercial real estate investment management firm with over $28 billion of assets across the United States, Mexico, and Brazil. Paul J. Niewiadomski is a Partner in Lubin Olson’s Real Estate and Finance Groups. Mary Nitschke, Director of Ancillary Services, joined Prometheus Real Estate Group in March of 2001. Ms. Nitschke is responsible for managing utility consumption (water, sewer, trash, electricity, and gas), utility/utility reimbursement budgeting, mining for rebates, determining the ROI on efficiency projects, identifying areas of opportunity for efficiency measures, energy procurement, trash contract negotiations, and ancillary income. Sean has over 25 years of commercial real estate valuation experience as a commercial appraiser, including experience as an Assistant Vice President in the commercial appraisal department of Union Bank and the principal owner of an appraisal consulting company. He provides commercial real estate valuation, audit, and due diligence services to private real estate companies, real estate funds, private equity funds, hedge funds, REITS, as well as technology and biotechnology companies. Additionally, he provides real property valuation services for the real estate component of business acquisitions for U.S. and multi national business acquisitions. Roger Snell is the Chief Investment Officer of Veritas Investments Inc., one of the largest owner-operators of apartments in San Francisco, with several thousands of units and approximately $1 billion in assets under management. Mr. Snell has over 25 years of experience in real estate investment, capital markets and portfolio management experience encompassing $4.5 Billion of apartments, commercial properties and hotels. Mr. Snell has executed transactions across all property types with a multitude of private, institutional and foreign investors and lenders. As CEO and President, he led the turnaround of two REITS: the Peregrine Real Estate Trust and Perini Investment Properties.

Meta TownsleyMeta Townsley, Executive Director, Housing Industry Foundation

Meta Townsley is the Housing Industry Foundation’s (HIF) Executive Director. She is responsible for the overall operation and direction of the organization, as well as for developing and executing plans that raise awareness of HIF, increase sustainable revenues, and encourage donors to participate in varied programs and events. Prior to joining HIF, Meta was the Northern California Regional Vice President for Lyon Management Group and served ten years on CAA Tri-County Board of Advisors. Meta holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from State University of New York at Oswego. She is an active member of the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP) Silicon Valley Chapter.

Heather WallaceHeather Wallace, Director – Business Development, Alliance Residential

Heather Wallace joined Alliance in 2003; currently, she is the Director of Business Development with responsibility for identifying new management opportunities with existing and future clients across Alliance’s Northwest Region. With more than 15 years of experience in the real estate industry, Ms. Wallace’s background ranges from development and acquisition to management, rehabilitation and disposition of multifamily communities across the West Coast. During her tenure with Alliance, Ms. Wallace has participated in the following roles: Vice President of Operations for the Northwest Region, West Coast Director of Acquisitions and Development Partner over Northern California.

Alex WaterburyAlex Waterbury, President – Northern California, Lennar Multifamily Communities

Alex Waterbury is President, Northern California of Lennar Multifamily Communities; in that role he currently oversees development of over 2,500 multifamily units in the region. He has 17 years of real estate experience in the San Francisco Bay Area, with a focus on rental and for-sale residential development over the past dozen years. Prior to joining Lennar Multifamily in 2012, he was involved in the acquisition, entitlement, construction, and/or asset management of nearly 4,200 multifamily units in California and Washington.

 

Kurt ZechKurt Zech, President – Multifamily Group, Kennedy Wilson

Kurt Zech is President of Kennedy Wilson’s Multifamily Management Group, the multifamilyinvestment division of Kennedy Wilson. Mr. Zech is responsible for the oversight of acquisitions, asset management and dispositions of multifamily assets in the United States. He currently oversees a portfolio of approximately 15,000 apartment units and has closed $2.5 billion of multifamily transactions. Previously, Mr. Zech worked for the LA-based private equity firm of William E. Simon & Sons, where he was responsible for the financial and operational analyses of the firm’s primary portfolio holdings and for the research and analysis of new investment opportunities. He also worked for Pricewaterhouse Cooper’s Management Consulting Group, where he provided a wide variety of clients with innovative finance, technology and strategy solutions. Mr. Zech earned his MBA with emphasis in Real Estate Finance and BA in Business Economics from UCLA.
