COO & CFO
Westmount Realty Capital
Brant Brown, chief financial officer (CFO) and chief operating officer (COO) of Westmount Realty Capital, LLC was recently appointed to the board of directors for The Real Estate Council (TREC), an organization aimed at professional development and community enrichment for people in the commercial real estate sector. As a board member, Brown will help shape the direction of TREC and the real estate community in Dallas.
“TREC has sparked community transformation, influenced policy and propeled the careers of its members and I’m honored to be joining the board,” said Brown. “Member involvement is what helps The Real Estate Council stand apart from other leadership organizations and I’m excited to work with a team of professionals that provide hands-on support to strengthen the commercial real estate industry and the North Texas community.”
Brown also serves on the board of the SMU-Cox Folsom Institute for Real Estate and the Association for Corporate Growth, Dallas/Fort Worth Chapter (ACG DFW). He has been actively involved with the National Council of Real Estate Investment Fiduciaries, Urban Land Institute, NAIOP and Financial Executives International. Brown is a CPA and received his MBA from SMU Cox School of Business.
As the largest and most influential organization of its kind in Texas, TREC represents more than 2,000 individual members and 600 companies, which make up 95 percent of the commercial real estate businesses in North Texas. Because commercial real estate is a vital driver of the Dallas-Fort Worth economy, producing approximately one-sixth of the area’s economic output, TREC wields strong influence in the region.
