Jason Ormsby
President
Stonewall Associates
Mr. Ormsby, a native Houstonian and former-JAG officer in the USMC, is a Texas attorney and founder of Stonewall Associates. Mr. Ormsby has an exceptional ability to ascertain and execute value-add plays in the multifamily real estate sector. His understanding of multifamily transactions and operations is a product of his willingness to be on the property rather than making decisions from behind a desk. His leadership has been tested and proven through real-world operational experience. He has managed a complex and diverse portfolio of more than 6,000 units made up of class B, C, and D properties ranging in size from 92 to 940 units. Additionally, Mr. Ormsby has managed rehab construction projects both large and small with crews of more than 100 workers and multi-million dollar budgets. In addition to standard purchases, Mr. Ormsby has experience in the acquisition of commercial real estate assets via loan purchases and foreclosure auctions, as well as assets in receivership and bankruptcy. Mr. Ormsby also has experience dealing directly with municipalities, having played an important role in obtaining a $10 million rehabilitation grant from the City of Houston, as well as orchestrating the dismissal of a property code-based lawsuit by the City of Dallas. Mr. Ormsby is a Steering Committee member of the Better Government Fund Committee within the Houston Apartment Association. He is actively involved with veterans’ causes both locally and nationally.
