Matt Matteson is Co-President and Chief Operation Officer of JB Matteson, Inc., with primary responsibility for client service. He also oversees daily corporate operations, including financial accounting and business management, staffing and risk management procedures. Prior to joining The Matteson Companies in 1986 he practiced law at the San Francisco law firm of Morrison & Foerster.

Mr. Matteson is a Past President of the California Apartment Association, the largest state association of rental housing owners in the United States. Matt previously served on the Board of Directors of the Redwood City/San Mateo County Chamber of Commerce, and the Board of Trustees of Menlo School, a private college preparatory in Atherton, California. He was active for many years as a member of the Finance Committee of the Hoover Institution on War, Revolution and Peace at Stanford University.

Matt graduated Summa Cum Laude from the University of Southern California in Business Administration, and earned his law degree from Stanford University. He is a licensed Real Estate Broker in California, and is a member of the California State Bar.
