Matt is actively pursuing commercial real estate investments of both new construction projects and those that require extensive renovation after initial acquisition. Matt has led acquisition efforts on multiple sites for ground-up construction of urban infill projects in Seattle. Matt’s specialty has always been his ability to see the integral pieces of the deal early in order to secure the land and assemble the best team possible.

Prior to his investment efforts, Matt was a commercial mortgage broker for Capmark (formerly GMAC Commercial Finance) focused primarily on Fannie, Freddie, and HUD multifamily debt. Before joining Capmark, he learned the debt side of the commercial real estate business at Symetra (formerly Safeco Life) as a lender servicing their portfolio across the country. The majority of his loans at this point were small loan balances, but they spanned the commercial spectrum with a focus on small warehouse, office, and multifamily.

Matt has a BA degree in Design and Planning Studies from the University of Washington’s School of Architecture.
