Scott Metzner is Founder and Principal of the Janus Property Company and affiliates. Prior to Janus, Mr. Metzner held senior positions with several national firms focusing on both agency and principal-related real estate activity, including at Daiwa Securities America and Eastdil Realty (a predecessor firm to Eastdil-Secured) where he rose from associate to partner.
Mr. Metzner received a Master of Business Administration degree from Columbia University with a double concentration in finance and real estate, and a five-year Bachelor of Architecture professional degree from University of Maryland. He currently sits on the Executive Committee as Trustee of Phipps Houses, the nation’s oldest developer/owner of affordable housing, Phipps Neighborhoods, its social services affiliate, and the Lower East Side Tenement Museum, preserving and interpreting the story of New York immigration and enhancing appreciation for the profound role it plays in shaping America.
