The fifth annual Marcus & Millichap / IPA Multifamily Forum: Dallas-Fort Worth brought together over 400 developers, owner/operators, investors and multifamily experts, as well as DFW’s most influential real estate leaders for a day of networking, idea sharing and deal making. The conference was dedicated to unearthing key data and trends that help guide the way toward the future of the industry in North Texas by delving into key issues including changes in new development, managing the high costs of construction, raising capital in a competitive market, and savvy investing in value-add opportunities.

This year’s conference featured a keynote fireside chat Ross Perot, Jr. of Perot Companies interviewed by Mike Berry of Hillwood. Over 40 other industry leaders and experts joined them addressing the threat of a weakening national economy tempered by an extended local economic boom driven by inward migration of jobs to North Texas.

No End In Sight?: Multifamily Development in DFW and Nationally

Dallas Fort Worth’s pace of growth remains one of the fastest in the country. What are some strategies that developers use to build product that will yield a high ROI? And where else are developers looking to go outside of DFW?

  • The Silver Bullet: How concessions are impacting the DFW rental market
  • Garden Style: The case for lower density new development
  • Contrarian Views: Market rate developers doing affordable
